"This is my second marriage and I wanted a long, elegant and glamorous dress, but not in white. After finding several possible dresses that I loved by Sarah Danielle on the internet I found that the only stockist in Kent was listed as Helena Tobitt at Tiara and Tails, Mersham Le hatch Business Park, Ashford. Living in East Malling (Maidstone) I wondered if it might be a bit of a trek but I'm so glad I decided to visit. Firstly, it is only a little over 30 minutes away, just off J10 of the M20 and is incredibly easy to find. Secondly, the parking is free and there's always plenty of space. Thirdly, the "business park" is infact a gorgeous collection of little businesses run out of the converted mews/courtyard buildings of a country mansion - all old red brick and cobbles. You can spend a lovely time pottering about the deli, gift shop, hair and beauty salon etc and have lunch or coffee in the restaurant before or after visiting Helena. Finally, and most important of all, what a wonderful boutique Helena runs, and what a lovely and helpful lady she is. Helena gave a friendly and personal service giving me the time, and space, to try dresses on and choose my perfect dress. She also came up trumps with a beautiful dress for my daughter, and gorgeous jewellery and shoes to match. She also arranged a seamstress for the final alterations. Helena's daughter (Charmaine Wallbridge) operates a mobile make-up service and her friend Carly Barrett operates as a mobile hairdresser - we've just had our trial run and it was so much fun, and the girls really listened to what I hoped for and gave superb advice. The whole experience has been so easy and an absolute pleasure. Helena - you are a star! THANK YOU!!
